The Lilies – is a series of gripping black and white portraits by Alexander Chekmenev. Photos shot in the psychiatric clinic of the Ovruch town in Ukraine, 1999. The project that becomes the classics of Ukrainian photography and sets an important example of the humanistic approach to people who don't fit in the settled boundaries of ‘normality'.
